In the eye of a storm

At the very beginning of spring, thousands of pastels flowers bloom in the Lauragais plain (Occitanie), illuminating the green meadows with a delicate golden yellow.

On this already hot and sunny day, the ambient air became increasingly humid. As a result, an impressive cumulonimbus cloud formed, crossed by powerful ascending currents and violent downward gusts.

Slowly, it hovered over the pastel field. In its center, powerful whirlwinds appeared, giving rise to this formidable undulation sweeping across each flower petal...

The use of image processing algorithms makes it possible to imagine the possible evolution of the original landscape when such a violent phenomenon occurs, the probability of which is now increasing due to global warming.
