to share in real time, over time, one or more shots.
They confront their author with the feelings of the public who have come,
offering him/her the opportunity to present the adopted approach,
to reveal a little of this creative process seat of the thought.
August 1 - 15, 2024: Exhibition « From the Moon to the Sun » at the GET cultural center in Revel, Occitania, southern France
After orbiting the Earth (1961) and then landing on the Moon (1969), mankind set out to explore our Sun and then the planets of our Solar System with probes and robot explorers.
This exhibition, entitled « From the Moon to the Sun », features archive images from the Apollo missions (1961 - 1972), as well as the most recent pictures of our Sun acquired by NASA's Parker Solar Probe and ESA's Solar Orbiter probes. Exceptionally, the model of NASA's Perseverance rover, designed by CNES and on loan from IRAP (Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie in Toulouse), was presented to the public in Revel.
For the duration of the exhibition, these photographs of the Moon and the Sun, the Perseverance rover model as well, mingled with metal sculptures designed by artist Cha Môkeur. The ensemble has been harmoniously arranged by Gilou Estève-Delprat, a naive painter from Revel. Here are a few snapshots of this exhibition :
June 29 - July 14, 2024 : Exhibition of photographs at the GET cultural center in Revel, Occitania, southern France
This exhibition called Regards de Photographes gathered the works of 12 local photographers on a theme not imposed - free. It was organized by the city hall of Revel at the GET cultural center.
For its fourth participation, the company Culture Diff' has chosen to exhibit, not photographs, but several screenshots of our Earth. These screenshots are the result of digital simulations carried out using the Sky/Earth 5D interface. They offer a glimpse of a sunset from La Reunion Island, Earth orbit, interplanetary space, Moon orbit and the farthest reaches of our Solar System. They have been grouped together under the heading « At the same moment, on Earth and in the Universe... ». Further details ...
June - October, 2024 : Space Exploration exhibition in Revel, Occitania, southern France
This exhibition, featuring some fifty images taken from the ground and from space, invites local residents and tourists alike to discover our Universe, the objects that fill it (planets, moons, stars, black holes, quasars, galaxies, etc.), and the tools of space exploration (rockets, orbital stations, interplanetary probes, rovers). To this end, these fifty images have been distributed along the spiral arms of a fictitious galaxy, each dedicated to a given theme: the Sky from Earth, the star cycle, planetary exploration, the Universe on a grand scale, the tools of space exploration.
On June 13, July 17 and August 14, 2024, interested visitors were invited to take a walk through the spiral arms of this galaxy - in other words, a guided tour of this exhibition entitled « Journey into the Universe », conceived and created in partnership with the Mairie de Revel and on display until the end of October on the allées Charles de Gaulle in Revel. Audio podcasts have also been created in collaboration with Revel City Council's communications department. Available on YouTube, they will accompany any solo promenade. Further details ...
On September 23 and 30, 2024, a presentation of our Universe and the objects that fill it was offered to two 6th grade classes from College La Providence in Revel, on the exhibition site. A great moment of exchange and questioning!
February 18 - March 4, 2023 : Exhibition of photographs at the GET cultural center in Revel, Occitania, southern France
This exhibition called Regards de Photographes gathers the works of 13 local photographers on a theme not imposed - free. It is organized by the city hall of Revel at the GET cultural center.
The company Culture Diff' has chosen to exhibit two photograph(ism)s entitled :
- Egyptian bust (Hahnemühle, black wood frame, black matting, 55x70cm)
- Un pont entre Ciel et Terre (Hahnemühle, black wood frame, black matting, 55x70cm)
This collection depicts the stellar destiny of the deceased Pharaoh.
The exhibitors take turns to welcome the public each afternoon.
February 18 - March 5, 2022 : Exhibition of photographs at the GET cultural center in Revel, Occitania, southern France
This exhibition called Regards de Photographes gathered the works of 9 local photographers on a theme not imposed - free. It was organized by the city hall of Revel at the GET cultural center.
The company Culture Diff' has chosen to exhibit four photographs entitled :
- A light box (Hahnemühle, black wood frame, black matting, 85x40cm)
- Lighting the Sky (Hahnemühle, black wood frame, black matting, 85x40cm)
- Cloud and Rain (Hahnemühle, black wood frame, black matting, 75x45cm)
- Tribal art (Hahnemühle, black wood frame, black matting, 40x50cm),
accompanied by their respective introductory texts and several sets of postcards.
The exhibitors took turns to welcome the public each afternoon.
January 20 - March 31, 2022 : Exhibition of PhotoGraphisms on the shores of the lake of Saint-Ferreol, Occitania, southern France
This exhibition called Promenades des Arts under the sky of Saint-Ferreol gathered the works of 23 local photographers on the theme « The tree and fresh water ». It was a logical follow-up to the Promenades des Arts exhibition organized by the city hall of Revel during the summer of 2021.
Introductory text from the Revel City Hall: « What could be more majestic than the nourishing Tree, provider of protective shades and architect who releases the oxygen necessary for breathing? What could be more precious than the water that saw the birth of humanity and that we consume daily for our survival? Stroll around, turn around these photos, pay aesthetic attention to these two elements and they will tell you a story ... This symbiosis has been magnified thanks to the talents of artists from the Occitania region whose names appear on the back of each of the photographs on display. »
July 3 - 17, 2021 : Exhibition of PhotoGraphisms at the GET cultural center in Revel, Occitania, southern France
This exhibition called Regards de Photographes gathered the works of 9 local photographers. It was organized by the city hall of Revel at the GET cultural center.
A dozen PhotoGraphisms have been selected for this exhibition.
The exhibitors took turns each day, from 10am to 12pm and from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, to welcome the public.
June 30 - October 31, 2021 : Exhibition of PhotoGraphisms in Revel, Occitania, southern France
This exhibition called Promenades des Arts gathered the works of 23 local photographers on the theme « The tree and fresh water ». In addition, Michel Batlle's monumental sculptures on the theme of the human being. The presentation flyer is available here.
This exhibilition has been organized by the city hall of Revel outside, along the Charles de Gaulle alleys commonly called Les Promenades by the people of Revel. Two PhotoGraphisms have been selected for the purposes of this exhibition: one, already awarded at the 2019 edition of the Salon de la Photo in Paris, is entitled « Allée des Poètes », the other one « Un soir au canal ». The first is from a photograph taken on the shores of the Lake of Saint-Ferréol, close to Revel; the second from a shot of the Canal du Midi that feeds the Lake of Saint-Ferréol, on the evening of the winter solstice.
Each photograph was the subject of a matte print on aluminium dibon in HD format (1.20m x 1.80m).
June 2020 : The photograph « Hereafter » on the cover of an Egyptology magazine
The photographic composition called « Hereafter » shows an Egyptian boat sailing towards the Sun. It is accompanied by a text evoking the deceased's journey to the afterlife.
This photographic composition was chosen by the Editorial Board of the Egyptology magazine Les Cahiers Caribéens d'Egyptologie to appear on the cover of the fifteenth issue - a tribute to its founder, renowned linguist Alain Anselin, who died on 16 May 2019.
December 2019: The photograph « Hereafter » on the cover of an Egyptology magazine
The photographic composition called « Hereafter » shows an Egyptian boat sailing towards the Sun. It is accompanied by a text evoking the deceased's journey to the afterlife.
This photographic composition was chosen by the Editorial Board of the Egyptology magazine i-Medjat to appear on the cover of the fifteenth issue - a tribute to its founder, renowned linguist Alain Anselin, who died on 16 May 2019.
November 7 - 11, 2019 : Exhibition of a PhotoGraphism at the Salon de la Photo 2019, Paris, France
The work of art entitled « Allée des poètes », designed with Monique Samson within the context of the Smart AI E.I.G., was chosen by the organizers of the Salon de la Photo 2019 to illustrate the theme « Dualité(s) ». It was exhibited from 7 to 11 November at Paris Porte de Versailles.
August 1 - 31, 2019 : « PhotoGraphism : a fresh perspective » exhibition at the Château des Ducs de Joyeuse, Couiza, Aude, Occitania, southern France
Designed with Monique Samson, interior designer and graphic designer, this exhibition brings together works of art conceived on the basis of photographs, for most exhibited in the PhotoExploration section, for some available in the form of original postcards. As a result of a subtle combination of techniques borrowed from the graphic arts and digital photography, they are part of the movement of an artistic trend called PhotoGraphism, which consists in offering a graphic re-interpretation of a photograph.
These works of art were on display in the square courtyard of the Château des Ducs de Joyeuse in Couiza, Aude, as part of the 5th Festival International du Film Insolite de Rennes-le-Château, which was held from 20 to 24 August 2019.
May 17 - June 17, 2019 : « PhotoGraphism : a fresh perspective » exhibition at the Dominique C. Gallery of the Château of Auriac sur Vendinelle, Occitania, southern France
Designed with Monique Samson, interior designer and graphic designer, this exhibition brings together works of art conceived on the basis of photographs, for most exhibited in the PhotoExploration section, for some available in the form of original postcards. As a result of a subtle combination of techniques borrowed from the graphic arts and digital photography, they are part of the movement of an artistic trend called PhotoGraphism, which consists in offering a graphic re-interpretation of a photograph.
These works of art are available for consultation and for sale in the Products section of the www.culturediff.org website as well as at the Dominique C. Gallery, open to the public every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm, on Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm. In addition, meetings with the artists were scheduled every Saturday from 3pm to 6pm.
November 18, 2016 : Lecture at the Maison de la Philosophie, Toulouse, Occitania, southern France
Title : What are the limits of science ?
Summary : During this evening, various scientific topics have been addressed on the basis of thirty or so photographs taken in the Occitanie region: the creation of the world, the content of our Universe, the inner structure of our planet, the transition from the inert to the living, the evolution of life on Earth, the creation of archaeological databases as well as our perception of the beyond. Each of these research areas is hampered by a limit - of cultural, experimental, statistical, or ethical nature, that past and modern scientists constantly push(ed) in order to extend always more our field of knowledge - in other words, our understanding of Mankind and of the surrounding Nature.
April 24, 2016 : Participation in a science café at the Quai des Savoirs, Toulouse, Occitania, southern France
Title : What are the limits of science ?
Summary : This debate was part of "The science in question" cycle initiated by the Popular University of Philosophy of Toulouse. It was moderated by Eric Lowen, philosopher and Director of the Popular University of Philosophy of Toulouse. During the debate, seven scientific topics were addressed: the creation of the world, the content of our Universe, the inner structure of our planet, the transition from inert to living, the evolution of life on Earth, the constitution of archaeological databases and our perception of the afterlife. Twenty photographs taken in the Land of Oc' and exhibited in the PhotoExploration section constituted the main support of discussion.
October 9, 10 and 11, 2014 : Photography exhibition at the Museum of Toulouse, Occitania, southern France
Summary : On October 9, 10 and 11, 2014 were held, as part of La Novela Festival, the Giordano Bruno Days at the Natural History Museum of Toulouse. Three days of exchanges between artists, historians, philosophers and scientists around the historical figure of Giordano Bruno. Since they illustrate the historical context and the topics tackled by Giordano Bruno, three Culture Diff' photographs were exhibited at the Museum of Toulouse for three days : Myths and Legends, Candle in the Night and Body of a Goddess.
